Classes

I run regular evening classes on Wednesdays and morning classes on Thursdays.  I also tutor day sessions on various weekends and organise tuition for sixth formers and special groups by arrangement.

Longer courses and workshops

Longer printmaking courses take place at intervals throughout the year. A list of attractive local farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation is provided and there are plenty of places to eat out locally in the evenings.

Tamar Print Workshop

I studied fine art at Bristol, completed a PGCE and then specialised in printmaking on the postgraduate diploma course at Brighton. Twenty two years ago I returned to Devon where I spent my childhood. Since my return I have planned set up and resourced three workshops. The most recent is Tamar Print Workshop situated on the edge of Dartmoor near Tavistock, close to the Tamar Valley - a World Heritage Site. The heart of Dartmoor is only a few miles away and Cornwall with its windswept beaches and coastline is just as easily accessible.

I have over 25 years' experience of teaching printmaking and am known for my unique approach. Everyone is welcome here - from accomplished printmakers to absolute beginners.

I provide a supportive, inspirational environment where people from all backgrounds can learn new skills and develop their work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Numbers are limited and so personal attention is guaranteed.

I specialise in etching and this, one of the most exciting of all printmaking techniques, is often the starting point for further exploration into other forms of printmaking such as monoprint, collagraph, carborundum, drypoint, and linocut.
